Schezwan Paneer

Paneer cubes with schezwan sauce.

This is an Indo-Chinese inspired dish, combining the flavor of schezwan with Indian paneer. It can be enjoyed with rice or roti, but overall it is a spicy and tasty meal! Click here to learn how to make your own schezwan sauce.

Serves 4 people.


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cubed paneer

  • 1/2 onion sliced thinly

  • 1/2 bell pepper sliced thinly

  • 1 tomato diced into small pieces

  • 1 tbsp ketchup

  • 1 tbsp schezwan sauce

  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

  • 1 tsp coriander-cumin powder

  • 1/2 tsp garam masala (optional)

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • salt to taste

Method:

  1. Shallow fry panner cubes in oil. Set aside.

  2. In the same oil, fry onions and ginger-garlic paste until golden brown.

  3. Add bell peppers and sauté until soft.

  4. Add tomatoes and sauté for 2 minutes until soft.

  5. Add coriander-cumin powder, salt, and garam masala if using.

  6. Add ketchup and schezwan sauce and mix well.

  7. Add paneer cubes, mix, and cook covered for 2 minutes.

  8. Serve with side of choice.
